Nickel Silver is an alloy of nickel with copper & zinc created to look like silver. It is known as "Nickel Silver" or " German Silver" but there is no silver in it.
It tarnishes less than silver and its stiffness makes it hold its shape better.
This Medium Soft bare sheet & wire is the softest this wire comes in, it is relatively bendable- a bit stiffer than copper wire. The thicker gauges are more stiff and requires some hand strength to bend.
This Solid Bare Nickel Silver sheet & round wire is for Jewelry, Sculpture, Hobby or craft work. It is easily solderable and makes strong pieces.
This high quality raw metal comes in a satin finish which buffs up to a bright finish.It is a wonderful metal to work with; that is why it has been used for hundreds of years for fine jewelry and craft. It is not recommended to use this wire for earrings or items for children as there is a small incidence of sensitivity allergies to it.
